Behind The Cosplay: Azellius League Of Legends Tempest Jana
AHIII: Yeah, it is very much that principle. Thankfully, people have enjoyed my casting. It has led to other opportunities and snowballed into where I'm at now. I feel extremely lucky to have gotten the opportunities that I have. It's just me trying to be
AHIII: I would love to be able to cast at a professional level where that could be my career. Right now, I'm an IT guy; I'm a systems engineer and my job is really cool. They let me work remotely while I was doing [ Heroes of the ] Dorm . That was an experience because they all know what I'm doing but, conceptually, I'm on vacation, I'm not there. No, I'm working two full-time jobs. I didn't really have much free time to really do anything. I just love what I'm doing h

In many social situations, it isn't hard to find a fellow League player. Riot even knows it created a social game, and the client allows players to add friends off of social media accounts. But, does popularity necessarily equate to a product being better? Many of League's other qualities are merits contingent on this first vir
They gave me a chance and let me cast a game and I was like, "Alright, thanks!" He emailed me next week and asked, "Hey, would you like to cast this MOBA Game Guide too?" I'm like, "Sure," and he would give me a game to cast. Then, over time, another person reached out, "Hey, do you want to cast this, you want to cast that?" Sure! It just snowballed from th
"Right now, I’m gearing up for Megacon. I’ll bring my Inara cosplay and I’ll be doing a Popstar League of Legends group cosplay with several friends of mine. I’m a HUGE Firefly fan so I’m pretty pumped to get some autographs! As for the rest of the year, Janna will most likely mosey out of my labyrinth for Metrocon and Supercon. I also love Holiday Matsuri, it’s just a really fun smaller convention that just feels so warm and friendly, I’ll be going back to it for sure again this year. We have yet to get a hotel room for Dragoncon (much to my dismay), so I’m not sure of the status on that venture y
While Dota 2 expands its heroes through voice lines, League expands its characters through design. League takes a core concept (falconer ranger, ice witch, fat fishman) and builds the champion's skills, lore, and visual design around sharpening the focus on that concept. League 's champions end up looking cohesive (albeit a bit shallow). This is in direct contrast to Dota 2 's heroes that end up looking like they were made haphazardly for a Dungeons and Dragons campaign. At the very least, Riot now claims that it's trying to move away from making hourglass wo
When it was announced that Kendra Saunders would be coming to The Flash before Legends , most assumed it was to give the character a springboard on par with her castmates (the rest of the Legends have been seen in The CW's universe already). What they didn't expect was to see the character's origin worked so completely into the growing fiction of Arrow and The Flash 's current sea
Obviously, Halorin's prediction didn't come to be. Kentucky was defeated by Laval in a 3-0 sweep in the semi-finals of the 2018 Heroes of the Dorm National Championship. The French Canadian team went up against Buffalo in the Grand Finals where they also swept the opposition becoming the first Canadian school to become champions of Blizzard's collegiate eSports tournament for Heroes of the Sto
The world of competitive gaming known as eSports is still in its infancy and has a ton of room to grow. Its popularity is climbing every year with seemingly larger production budgets, being held in arenas that seat thousands of people. A big component in creating such an excited and dedicated environment are the casters; they not only help hype people up for the event but also inform those who are watch
A team of astronauts aboard a space station find themselves alone after a scientific experiment causes Earth to disappear. When a space shuttle appears, the space station crew must fight for survival following their horrible discovery. This intriguing sci-fi movie seemingly wasn't intended to be a Cloverfield movie but it certainly is one now, potentially converted into one similar to how Dan Trachtenberg's 10 Cloverfield Lane was made into a successful Cloverfield anthology spinoff in 2016. Either way, Cloverfield or not, we're psyched about this sci-fi space thriller from J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot production comp
Numbers don't lie; no League of Legends players can boast becoming millionaires (they do have to split the prize money). But two League players, Faker and Bengi, managed to make it into the top 50 making about $900 thousand and $800 thousand in tournament winnings respectively. Meanwhile, all of the other names on the top 50 highest-paid gamers made their fortune through Dota
