10 Video Games That Were Horribly Broken At Launch
Splatoon works for players of all skills thanks to the depth of its gameplay. All players may spread paint from their base forward, while others may strategically infiltrate enemy lines or climb to the highest points on the map. The game relies on quick reflexes, strategy, and even imagination. Whether you’re building your own path or chasing invisible enemies through streets of paint, Splatoon will always challenge
In the short, we learn that Lena Oxton (callsign Tracer) was a skilled pilot, handpicked to fly the Slipstream -- a prototype jet capable of teleportation. Tragedy struck on the jet's maiden voyage and Oxton vanished, and she was presumed dead. She reappeared several months later, where it was revealed that a malfunction with the jet's teleportation matrix had trapped Lena between timelines. She kept phasing in and out of existence until primate scientist Winston invents the chronal accelerator, a device that stops her disappearing and keeps her anchored in the present day. Their time together also forged a great friendship between the two, with Winston considering Tracer part of his unconventional fam
Billed as an explosive finale to Rocksteady Studios' Batman: Arkham trilogy, Batman: Arkham Knight has been making the headlines for all of the wrong reasons these past few weeks. The FPS Game Tournaments worked fine on consoles, but on PC it was an entirely different story. Immediately upon launch, PC Arkham Knight players began to report huge framerate issues that persisted whenever Batman mo
February is a month I'm really looking forward to, as my most anticipated game for the year (now that Metro: Last Light is delayed), Binary Domain releases in latter half of the month. In addition, I've also got a PlayStation Vita First Edition Bundle on pre-order, which means I'll be playing both that and the pack in game Little Deviants , though I also plan to pick up WipEout 2048 at launch. Lastly, alongside the aforementioned Binary Domain I'm also going to be purchasing HyperDimension Neptunia Mk.2 , though I probably won't get around to playing it until I finish the first game, which is going to take up the first half of February. I also really want to play Alan Wake's American Nightmare , but with my 360 currently out of commission I'm going to have wait until I get a new cons
There's a lot of talk of the PS Vita and while it's a impressive device, gamers should know that this is the time to capitalize on previous generation titles they may have missed. You can find quality titles super cheap. I was able to acquire Tatics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together for PSP for under $10. This title is highly recommended for fans Final Fantasy Tactics since it's from the same develop
Bastion is a perfect example of the fluidity of Overwatch . If this list had been written only a few weeks ago, Bastion would have come in near the top. Thankfully, they nerfed Bastion when they realized how powerful he had become, bringing him back down to Earth - and the back third of this l
Essentially an extension of the Custom Game mode, the Game Broswer enables you to adjust the settings on various modes, maps, and heroes to create a uniquely designed match. For example, if you want to remove the cooldown for McCree's Combat Roll, or increase the speed of Pharah's rockets, you can. Once you're happy with your settings, you'll need to set up permissions. You can limit the people who can join your game through various options, or set your server to "Public," unleashing your creation to dairy farmers in Slovenia to Karate Teachers in Florida. You can read more about the new feature here , or watch the video below for a slightly less revealing, but still effective, overv
With beautiful settings, fun campaigns, and excellent multiplayer, Halo continues to be one of the greatest shooter franchises ever made. Call of Duty differs greatly from Halo , but Infinite Warfare draws so heavily from Halo that most fans of Infinite Warfare would have much more fun with the Halo ser
Critical hit volume reduced by 15%
Developer Comments: Winston's head hit volume was just abnormally big, making him take more damage than he otherwise should. This change brings it more in line with other her
As an open world game, some issues were expected but many players agreed that these were unacceptable. Plus, they were following on from other Unity controversies including its lack of playable female characters, a decreased framerate on consoles, and Ubisoft's decision to include microtransacti
Not ones to throw the baby out with the bathwater, Blizzard salvaged some of the already designed player classes from Titan and used them as the inspiration for several of their characters. Seeing a fit for their burgeoning universe, Blizz genderswapped the free-running Jumper class and took the character's light-up harness and dual pistols and incorporated them into Tracer's final design. The prototypes for characters like Reinhardt, Reaper, Soldier 76 and Genji can also be seen above. The characters weren't the only things that came from the Titan project, either. Overwatch's Numbani map was directly inspired by concept art by Peter Lee, which depicted a gleaming, futuristic African c
